SOFT TISSUE RELEASE
This one day course will teach you the incredible benefits of Soft Tissue Techniques and both effective passive and Isometric stretching. The course will cover the background and application of these techniques enabling you to incorporate them into your treatments as well as advise clients on safe application in-between treatments.
Soft Tissue Release, Passive and Isometric Stretching are powerful tools and an essential part of massage therapy if underlying muscular tension and restricted movement is encountered and not relieved by other techniques. These techniques, correctly applied , can provide exceptional results in the rehabilitation of chronic pain conditions. Stretching also builds strength and provides increased flexibility for any client with intramuscular restrictions. Overall creating a general feeling of lightness and wellbeing in everyone.

Overview of the course:
Join us for this hands-on day where by the end of the day you will be able to:
- Understand the general stretching guidelines
- Understand the difference between passive and isometric stretching.
- Advise and demonstrate passive stretches on commonly affective major muscle groups of the body.
- Advise and demonstrate isometric stretches on commonly affected major muscle groups of the body.
- Carry out varying forms of soft tissue release (STR) on selected muscles.
Course information:
- This course is suitable for Massage Therapists who have already completed and achieved a recognised Full Body Massage and Anatomy & Physiology qualification.
- You will receive comprehensive guidance notes and information to take home with you, as well as continued support from our tutors following your successfully passing of your practical assessment at the end of the workshop.
- All items required for the course will be provided by The School of Fine Tuning.
