Level 3 Acupressure Massage Practitioner
Acupressure is the application of pressure to the body, without the use of needles as in acupuncture, to enhance the flow of energy 'Chi' within the 14 meridians.
The Acu-points are worked by using the palms, fingers, thumbs and assisted stretching. Performed through clothing on floor mats, this course embodies all the principles of TCM Acupressure and then incorporates techniques from Thai Yoga Massage and Shiatsu.
Subjects included in the Course: Principles of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Yin & Yang Theory, The Meridians, Fingertip Acupoint Medicine, Stimulation Methods, Relaxation Techniques, Assisted Stretching Techniques, client care, consultation, health & safety, hygiene, anatomy & physiology.
